Custom HEICS Board for Newton Memorial...

We were contacted by Newton Memorial Hospital, Newton, NJ, about providing a HEICS Board to meet their needs.  The final product was a board that matched their HEICS organizational chart exactly.

If you have a special need for a accountability, patient tracking, or other board, please contact us.

PRODUCT IMPROVEMENTS...

We are always looking for ways to improve our products, and have found one.  All of our command and accountability board will now be made using a new type of Velcro©.  This new material uses a urethane adhesive that is designed to withstand temperatures up to 240ºF.  This will insure that the material will remain securely attached, even if stored in the hot trunk of your vehicle.

If you are experiencing any problems with your current board related to the adhesion of the loop material, please call or email for information on exchanging your board for a new one.

From the World of Emergency Planning:

Agencies seeking DHS Grants MUST have NIMS training to receive FY2006 grants.

NIMS Compliance Activities to be Achieved during FY 2005:

State, Territorial, Local and Tribal Jurisdictions:

  • Complete the NIMS Awareness Course: National Incident Management System (NIMS), An Introduction IS 700.
  • Formally recognize the NIMS and adopt NIMS principles and policies. States, territories, tribes and local entities should establish legislation, executive orders, resolutions or ordinances to formally adopt the NIMS.
  • Determine which NIMS requirements already have been met. Clearly state, territorial, tribal, and local entities have already implemented many of the concepts and protocols identified in the NIMS.
  • Develop a strategy and timeframe for full NIMS implementation.States, territories, tribes, and local entities are encouraged to achieve full NIMS implementation during FY 2005. To the extent that full implementation is not possible during FY 2005, federal preparedness assistance must be leveraged to complete NIMS implementation by FY 2006. By FY 2007, federal preparedness assistance will be conditioned by full compliance with the NIMS. States should work with the tribal and local governments to develop a strategy for statewide compliance with the NIMS.
  • Institutionalize the use of the Incident Command System (ICS). All state, territorial, tribal, and local entities are required to adopt ICS in order to be compliant with the NIMS.

FY 2006 and FY 2007 Requirements:

In order to receive FY 2006 preparedness funding, applicants will need to certify as part of their FY 2006 grant applications that they have met the FY 2005 NIMS requirements.
